Our Model

‘Excellent’ school chaplaincy since 2014.

In 2014, Boost created a chaplaincy partnership with Felixstowe School. It’s been an amazing journey!

We have offered a full-time chaplain as an unconditional gift to the students and staff at Felixstowe School, and have been privileged to support the school community in a variety of different ways. Our chaplain is based in the school’s ‘Reflection Room’, and available to speak to throughout the school day. Students can also be referred to the chaplain though the school’s Student Support team- a range of pastoral early help interventions and programmes are run to support students with specific challenges and needs.

From January 2024, we began a chaplaincy partnership with the Federation of Fairfield and Colneis, bringing chaplaincy support to the many children and young people in their care, and enhancing support for their transition into high school.

Chaplaincy is a varied ministry, with no two days the same. From assemblies and bereavement support, to extra-curricular clubs and reflection spaces, chaplaincy really does enrich and transform the life of a school. We view chaplaincy as a partnership, something done ‘with’ the school.

We’ve grouped our activities and programmes into ‘three threads’ which run throughout our work. These are outlined below- click or tap to find out more on each one.
