Sometimes you need that extra person...

Through the ups and downs of school life, sometimes students need 'that extra person' to help them, guide them, listen to them, and see them through a particularly challenging time. Chaplaincy offers one-to-one mentoring to students in all year groups.

Students may be referred by staff, and can also self-refer. If you'd like to see how mentoring can help you, speak to our chaplain in person or over email. Alternatively, you can send us a quick note using the 'Contact Us' button below this page.

There is no set recipe for one-to-one mentoring, but typically we meet with a young people once a week for a term. Our mentoring is inclusive of all young people, regardless of gender, age, sexuality or religion. It may be particularly helpful for young people struggling with anxiety, bereavement, poor mental health, and low self-esteem.

We are committed to safeguarding young people, so confidentiality is never promised or guaranteed.
All mentoring is carried out during school hours at felixstowe academy.
